Bluechain Consulting is seeking country-based research experts in Cambodia, Indonesia, and India. We are looking for individuals with:

Strong knowledge of microfinance programs, ideally linked to WASH financing

Experience with development research or program evaluation

Ability to analyze household survey datasets and program monitoring/loan portfolio data

Experience conducting key informant interviews with partners and stakeholders

5+ years’ experience in microfinance, financial inclusion, WASH, or development research, with an advanced degree in a relevant field
Associates
We are seeking Associates to support financial, economic, and commercial advisory assignments in the water and sanitation sector. The roles involve undertaking financial and economic analysis, designing service and commercial models, developing financial mechanisms, supporting risk assessments and developing procurement-ready contracting and performance frameworks. The role also includes market analysis, including designing and undertaking sales channel mapping and buyer segmentation, to support commercially viable market development.
Key Requirements

Skills: Financial and economic analysis; service-model and commercial structure design; financial mechanisms; risk allocation; procurement-ready contracting and performance frameworks; market analysis, sales channel mapping, and buyer segmentation.

Experience: 5–10 years’ relevant experience; ideally in water and sanitation sector, but not essential.

Qualifications: MSc in Economics or related field, MBA, or equivalent.

Location: Candidates based in Europe, Africa, or Asia.
